Public bug reported:

first boot after a fresh 26.04 server install, apt upgrade makes dpkg
die with exited with irqs disabled, dpkg --audit is killed the same way,
the fault address was ffff83ca0ce83384 both times, and booting
7.0.0-30-generic then dpkg --configure -a and apt upgrade succeeded.
Mention that the kernel was tainted G D on the second oops.

reverted to Linux version 7.0.0-30-generic to resolve the issue.
