Hello Tim, I think I might have identified what commit fixes this issue upstream. c96010a2a9ff59b3cc086fc3df15ce9408fe5986 (present in 4.20.0 and later) is probably what we want here. I'm going to start preparing a PPA with a noble build including this patch, but in the meantime it would be nice to do some preliminary testing (and I'm only asking this because I assume you are in a position to do so, since you provided a patch in the original report).
