This is confusing to me. This file is part of open-vm-tools, which is
pulled in as a dependency:
# apt-file search libresolutionKMS.so
open-vm-tools:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/open-vm-tools/plugins/vmsvc/libresolutionKMS.so
Do you not have this file installed locally? If so, there's probably a
bigger underlying issue.
