Also tested with GCC 16 in the stonking container (gfortran-16
16.2.0-3ubuntu1), building the fortran-julienne 4.1.0-1 source with fpm
0.13 directly:
* gfortran-16 -cpp -O2 -flto=auto -ffat-lto-objects -fPIC: same ICE
julienne_multi_image_s.F90:26:15: internal compiler error: in
write_symbol, at lto-streamer-out.cc:3096
(line 3096 in GCC 16, 3086 in GCC 15)
* gfortran-16 -cpp -O2 -flto and -O0 -flto: same ICE, so plain -flto is
enough, independent of the optimisation level
* gfortran-16 without -flto: all objects compile, including
julienne_multi_image_s.F90 (the only failure is a link error from my test
command missing -L for libassert)
* gfortran-15 with the same fpm command: the ICE reproduces as well
So it isn't fixed in GCC 16; an upstream report should mention both
15.3.0 and 16.2.0. Switching the default to gcc-16 wouldn't help, so the
lto-disabled-list entry is still needed.
