@bmiranda: The discrepancy is drop-in precedence in systemd.
In a bare test setup [DHCP] is aliased, but if any installer or cloud- init config defines an explicit [DHCPv4] section, systemd ignores the legacy [DHCP] block from Netplan and falls back to DUID.
