Hi Andreas (@ahasenack), Thanks for looking into this! Regarding the resource-agents autopkgtest failure on Jammy (on comment #24):
I inspected the `linux-buildinfo-*-kvm` package for Jammy and checked its kernel config. It turns out that linux-kvm disables the LIO iSCSI target subsystem: ```text CONFIG_TARGET_CORE=m # CONFIG_ISCSI_TARGET is not set Because CONFIG_ISCSI_TARGET is disabled, there is no iscsi_target_mod.ko built for linux-kvm. Furthermore, installing linux-modules-*-generic in the testbed cannot solve this, because modprobe only looks under /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/, and any attempt to load generic modules via insmod is blocked by kernel lockdown (Lockdown: insmod: unsigned module loading is restricted). Following your suggestion to address this in resource-agents, the cleanest approach is to check if iscsi_target_mod is supported by the running kernel and gracefully SKIP the test when kernel module support is missing. On environments running a generic kernel, the test continues to run fully as before. I have verified this in a Jammy LXD VM (kernel 5.15.0-1109-kvm), where debian/tests/run-ocft iscsi now cleanly reports SKIP: iscsi_target_mod module is not available in running kernel 5.15.0-1109-kvm and results in PASS.
