This bug was fixed in the package basez - 1.6.2-3ubuntu1
---------------
basez (1.6.2-3ubuntu1) stonking; urgency=medium
* d/p/uutils-tr-repeat.patch: use '-' instead of '[-*]' as tr SET2 in
configure. Same result with GNU tr, but the tr from rust-coreutils
0.12.0 rejects '[-*]', leaving PKGNAME empty and making the build
fail. Can be dropped once rust-coreutils has the upstream fix
(lp: #2169227)
