FYI, i worked around this issue by just installing the flash-kernel
package from ubuntu 24.04 and preventing updates from that package until
this has a solution.

Additionally, likely not *quite* related to this bug, once having my
raspi run linux 7.0.0, no USB or Network was working. The solution was
to add "dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=host" to "/boot/firmware/config.txt"
under "[all]", as it otherwise seems to default to "gadget mode".

If i understand the linked
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/2159014/comments/2
correctly, the solution is to remove flash-kernel and install piboot-try as
the replacement?
I also read that initramfs-tools has been replaced with dracut, but both
seemingly still exist on my raspi system and it seems like initramfs is the one
used for updates currently, do i also manually need to fix that?
