Public bug reported:
Hardware:
Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G7+ AKP
Product name: 21TJ
System board: LNVNB161216
OS:
Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS
Kernel: 7.0.0-38-generic
Audio server: PipeWire 1.6.2
Session manager: WirePlumber 0.5.13
Problem:
The internal microphone and speakers cannot work simultaneously.
With the Hi-Fi profile, the speakers work but the internal
digital microphone produces no audible signal.
With the Pro Audio profile, the microphone works but the
speakers stop working.
The AMD ACP PDM capture device is detected by ALSA as
acppdmmach, device 0 (dmic-hifi-0). Direct ALSA capture
using S32_LE at 48000 Hz completes, but the recording is silent.
The Realtek ALC257 audio codec is also detected.
The built-in microphone and speakers worked correctly on
the same laptop under Linux Mint 22.3.
Hardware:
AMD ACP audio coprocessor [1022:15e2]
AMD Ryzen HD Audio Controller [1022:15e3]
Realtek ALC257 codec
This may be an AMD ACP/PDM microphone driver or audio
configuration compatibility issue. The exact cause is unknown.
Expected result:
The internal microphone and speakers should work
simultaneously using the normal Hi-Fi audio profile.
