Public bug reported:

Lenovo ThinkPad P16s Gen 4 AMD (model 21RX000XMX), AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370
BIOS R2XET42W (1.22), EC R2XHT33W
Ubuntu 24.04.5 LTS, kernel 6.17.0-1033-oem

Symptom:
Intermittently the system fails to resume from s2idle. The power LED keeps
blinking slowly (sleep) and the machine does not wake; a forced power-off is
required. Observed 2026-10-16 and 2026-10-21, both times after idle-triggered
suspend on battery. Other suspend cycles resume fine.

Findings:
- amd-s2idle (amd-debug-tools) reports:
"IOMMU is misconfigured: missing MSFT0201 ACPI device"
- The kernel parses IVRS and logs:
  "AMD-Vi: ivrs, add hid:MSFT0201, uid:1, rdevid:0x60" (0x60 = 0000:00:0c.0)
but no MSFT0201 device is enumerated under /sys/bus/acpi/devices.
- On a successful resume, the kernel logs repeated
  "AMD-Vi: Event logged [IO_PAGE_FAULT device=0000:00:0c.0 ...]"
i.e. the same rdevid the IVRS assigns to MSFT0201.

This matches the failure described by AMD in
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/3738#note_2667140
(MSFT0201 is required for suspend to work with IOMMU enabled), which points to
a BIOS ACPI table issue.
