Thanks again for your help getting the IMX471 camera working on my Lenovo ThinkPad X9-15.
The camera is now working on Ubuntu 26.04 with kernel 7.0.0-42-generic, after fixing the missing IPU7 firmware in the Dracut initramfs. However, I am still experiencing noticeable fine-grained noise in the camera image, particularly on uniform surfaces such as walls and ceilings. I tested both 720p and 1080p, different sharpness settings, automatic exposure, color conversion, and direct capture through icamerasrc without v4l2-relayd. The noise remains. The latest available libcamhal-ipu7x and Intel AIQ packages from the OEM PPAs are already installed. Are there any known image-quality issues or recommended tuning configurations for the IMX471 on IPU7/Lunar Lake? The camera is usable now, but I would appreciate any guidance on improving its image quality. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2158540 Title: ThinkPad X9-15 Gen 1: IPU7 camera probe fails — duplicate software_node SONY471A-0 (-EEXIST), bridge init failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2158540/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
