Seeing what looks like the same gnome-shell GPU-memory leak on AMD (not
i915), Ubuntu 26.04.

Environment:
- Ubuntu 26.04, kernel 7.0.0-38-generic, Wayland
- gnome-shell 50.1-0ubuntu1.4, mutter 50.1-0ubuntu2.4
- AMD Cezanne (Radeon Vega), one DisplayPort monitor, amdgpu GTT total 6 GB

Behaviour (per-process GTT from fdinfo, deduplicated by drm-client-id):
- gnome-shell sits at ~270 MB, then at a random moment ramps linearly at ~250
MB/min until GTT is full (~6.4 GB). Cycle is ~65 min.
- It also happens in the GDM greeter's gnome-shell, so it is not tied to the
user session or to extensions.
- When GTT is full: "Page flip failed: drmModeAtomicCommit: No space left on
device" and kernel "amdgpu_dm_plane_helper_prepare_fb ... bind failed".
- Bursts of "Cursor update failed: drmModeAtomicCommit: Invalid argument" and
"Failed to post KMS update: drmModeAtomicCommit: Invalid argument" in the
journal (same messages as mutter#4101).
- Forcing DPMS blank (Mutter PowerSaveMode) for ~2.5 min did not trigger the
ramp.
- I did not see any hotplug messages in the journal (I did not capture udev
events live), unlike the hotplug trigger described above.

Workaround: a watchdog recycles the graphical session when GTT >= 90%
for 15 min.

Questions: is upstream mutter !5285 included in mutter 50.1 as packaged
for 26.04? I am collecting an onset report (idle/lock state, KMS
framebuffers, dma-buf owners) and will add it here when I have it.
