I should note that this behavior is seen with: Ubuntu/Hardy/latest KDE4 with both via and openchrome drivers;
Debian/unstable with via driver (they don't have openchrome) and latest KDE4. My understanding is that the acceleration offered by the Unichrome chip is pretty limited. Probably what is going on is that KDE4 is attempting to use acceleration features that are either unsupported or badly supported by the Unichrome chip. What KDE4 is doing is probably perfectly OK with a real graphics card. Hopefully whatever KDE4 is doing can be isolated before it is fixed, as there are actually a lot of problems with these X drivers (and/or the underlying hardware), and this one is reproducible. -- x crashes when using kde4.0 not with kde 3.5.8 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/182599 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
