I'm going to need some help on this. Is the problem that the wrong
characters are used in the translations (for reference, from left to
right, they are U+8A00, U+7EDF, and U+60A8), or that the font in use is
rendering those characters wrongly?

I've subscribed Arne, who may be able to help with this. Arne, could you
check whether this is a font problem, and if so please prioritise it for
fixing in your font improvements project?
