Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The release of Ubuntu that you noticed this on would be
useful. I've tried recreating this on Hardy Heron using compiz-plugins
version 1:0.7.0-0ubuntu1, but the key stroke for initiate erase didn't
actually do anything. I'd agree that whatever it is supposed to do
should be better documented. Thanks in advance.

Annotate plugin 'initate erase' just stops any windows responding to mouse
until you press the escape key
