Marcobisi, I don't think you're doing anything wrong. I get the same problem on Ubuntu 7.04 and Ubuntu 7.10 when printing to a network printer via CUPS (Lanier MP C2500 and Minolta Di650). I print the page, it takes 5 to 7 minutes of the light blinking on the printer and then nothing comes out in the end.
Printing a test page works fine and takes about 10 seconds.
