I am not aware of any KDE 4 Konqueror plugins in just yet, but I do have
something you might like instead of the search bar. When the plugins are
made available, they will be packaged within the main kde4base package
so they will have no choice but to be included, which is a good thing :)
In Konqueror's settings, you can go to 'Web Shortcuts' and in there if
you set the 'Default search engine', whenever you type in a search query
in the main URL bar in Konqueror, it will use the search engine you
selected and perform the query. Another nice thing are the web
shortcuts. If Google is enabled, simply type this in the URL bar:
gg:Ubuntu
and it will query Google for Ubuntu. There are many other shortcuts in
there and you can even add your own. It might be a little odd at first,
but I tell you what, I can't use any other browser now because I am so
used to these shortcuts. It makes it much easier if you ask me.
