Yes, the problem is still here. But now, i think it is a polyester bug. I have attached a video, where you can see the problem. The problem is in the selection, it drops some messy pixels after the cursor, and thats become the content of the image that ksnapshot captures...
Anyways, if you want to reproduce it, disable the rubberband effect (to get the same selection tool on your desktop as me), press printscreen to get ksnapshot, and try to capture a region. Once i have seen an image with this bug on kubuntu.org too, but now i can't find that, it has been replaced, imho.
