In gutsy, the software tries to load /lib/firmware/isl3890 indeed.
Additionally, this message is printed over and over:
serial8250: too much work for irq10
That seems to be related to the firmware not getting uploaded.
Affects: udev for now, since firmware_helper is part of udev.
