Really?  I can easily repro bug 19364 on a Gutsy (Ubuntu 7.10) system.
Could you elaborate on how this one is different?  Or is it just that
you want it separately tracked for UbuntuME?

... Or did two different bugs get mixed up here?  I really don't
understand the comments about PS1 and Status Manager above.
