Just doing a complete remove of the 2 packages did not stop the mouse from working. Furthermore, removal, recinding trust, a reboot and then switching the mouse on brought up an authorization popup which I have never seen before. Afraid I might have to do a complete reinstall to try to replicate the initial mouse communication problem.
