I have the same card, it works as expected. The script provided with the b43-fwcutter-package downloads v3 and v4 firmware (creating b43 and b43legacy-directories in /lib/firmware). If it does not for you, please check if you really have installed latest b43-fwcutter package from the repros. If you only get v3-firmware, it is unlikely that you have b43-fwcutter installed but bcm43xx-fwcutter, which is no longer shipped in hardy.
