Okay, so after some investigation (and help), I've figured out the moblin-media-0.25 doesn't actually use any clutter libs. They are merely imported, and never used. The code path that would use them has been purposely blocked by the program (--disable-clutter is automatically true, but there is no --enable-clutter).
Therefore, it is safe to remove the dependency on clutter, and make a small patch against moblin-media, so it doesn't call 'import clutter' unnecessarily. I have attached a debdiff that does exactly that, plus updates the debian/control file to get rid of the clutter* depends. The proper bug report is available here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/moblin-media/+bug/204360. Please comment on the diff, and anything else I need to do to get it into hardy. ** Attachment added: "moblin-media-0.25ubuntu1.debdiff" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12764440/moblin-media_0.25ubuntu1.debdiff -- Multiple clutter syncs from Debian unstable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203141 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
