To date I've been on Gutsy, I have all updates installed but I've not tried to use network manager since I posted the bug report. I switched to wicd instead of network manager and have been using it ever since - I don't have the time to reboot several times before I can use my wireless connection. I sent my laptop in to the manufacturer 2 days ago because of a hardware problem with the externl vga port. They're claiming a 3-5 day turn around time, so with Easter I should have it back about the 31/3.
