I had to restore anyway so I did as you asked. Same problem. In fact, in System Settings, "Sharing" and "About Me" are broken and give the same error as well.
No offense to anyone, but with the severe Kickoff menu glitches and broken System Settings control panels, Kubuntu is beginning to be hard for me to stick with.
