Reinstalling the kernel 'sort of' fixed it. I say sort of fixed it as I
can boot, but X is in low resolution and uses the wrong keyboard layout.
Maybe nvidia modules are missing for X to auto configure appropriately.
Will compare /proc/modules with the one from the /386 kernel. Could this
be caused by a kernel dpkg-reconfigure issue ?

Note: I saved the old /boot entries so let know if you want them.
