   I am sorry to have apparently wasted your time, especially with the
final release of Hardy so close.
I understand your reply, but the system has been working fine, even
after receiving the original error, during the on-line upgrade.  I
thought it was related to the installer, hence my bug report.  I have
rebooted several times, and applied any/all upgrades, since running the
commands you suggested. I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary,
GDM is functioning fine.
   My question to you in my last communication was, how do I verify the
commands you had me issue "worked", what logs, or other things should I
check.  Since the system has appeared to function correctly.

I SINCERELY apologize, if I have caused any confusion, or wasted your
time.
