I believe it to be more dangerous to run USER_SCHED as there will be performance regressions since the behaviour will change as shown in the boinc thread. (Though technically it is not a regression). Please consider moving to CGROUP. USER_SCHED can be simulated in CGROUP using a daemon posted at http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel/553267 ). Note that it will have to modified a bit since containers has since been renamed to cgroup. I think I have a modified version of the same lying around somewhere. If I find it I can send it to you.
