Thanks for asking ... I hadn't tried it for a while, but now that you asked, I 
did. Although I have 2.6.15.27 running, I still coudn't manage to get the 
Kubuntu boot with USB Legacy support enabled. So the answer is yes, it's still 
a problem. I'm not sure it has anything to do with kernel, though ... but 
neither Ubuntu nor Kubuntu seem to acknowledge USB Legacy support (maybe it's 
an overall problem with most or all of the distros, haven't tried?).
But this is bad, and one of the few things that I don't like about Linux (at 
least K/Ubuntu) and - as strong a Linux supporter as I am - I just try not to 
speak loudly about this problem! :)
