I am facing the same problem too. I am using it on Dell Inspiron 1505 laptop. I also have a nVidia 256MB video card. After login everything works OK but login is as explained in the bug. I went to Setting - Prefernces - Login Window and selected Gnome as the theme instead of xorg. I think that solved the issue. But after every update it seems to go back to xorg...
