Installed Ubuntu 7.10 from Wubi under a WINXP OS. The scroll lock and
caps lock flashes and systems freezes immediatly forcing a hard reboot
when trying to connect to a WEP encrypted modem via the Network Manager
Applet "nm_applet"
Im using a notebook Dell inspiron 4150 (845MP chipset, Pentium 4M, Texas
Instruments CardBus controller PCI-1420) with a Lynksys Wireless-B
notebook adapter (PC card) 2.4 GHz 802.11b. The system recognizes the
network card adapter with a restricted driver. This bug is totally
repeatable, also see: Bug #157519
