On a fully updated hardy, I am still experiencing a minor version of this bug. Basically, tracker seems to work very well, but occasionally (once every few weeks) it will still go off the deep end (i.e., try to index ad infinitum, database size grows indefinitely). Reindexing fixes the problem after which point is again OK for a few weeks.
I can reliably get it to go off the deep end by doing a pkill trackerd (not -9, just regular pkill). However, on at least one occasion, it did go off the deep end by itself. Very frustrating bug for the developers, I am sure. I rely on tracker every day and really appreciate the effort you've put into it. -- tracker does not stop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155244 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
