Some JRE's have bugs in their own graphics libraries (eg. the good old
AWT_TOOLKIT="MToolkit" thing). Matlab's UI is Java, and the JRE it uses
comes bundled with the Matlab. This is something the people at Mathworks
should fix, no one else can do it reliably.
