I ran into this problem, but it didn't crash anything--it just prevented the completion of the installation of the motion package.
I figured out what the problem was when I checked the files that it was creating in /tmp/motion, and realized that it had been taking pictures the entire time--which I have no plans of showing to anyone! I look like a zombie in them, but that's beside the point. Anyway, yes, motion seems to start recording stuff from the camera when it gets installed, and will only stop once Ctrl+C is pushed. -- package motion 3.2.9-1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script killed by signal (Interrupt) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/190752 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
