That is what is bug report is talking about. We *know* bcm43xx is working... bcm43xx is now deprecated and will be removed in future kernels. The way you load or unload b43 or bcm43xx is irrelevant. The problem remains the same : some wireless cards are unable to associate with their AP in kernel 2.6.24.
