The way to fix this is for firefox to have a tab control manager, the same way that the OS offers a controls to process managers. Web apps are becoming programs and there may be legitimate reasons to control the size and positions of windows. But what you can't do is control the position of the process manager, you should be able to open that and kill the offending tab.
