Public bug reported: I have tried to upgrade two machines running 6.06.1LTS to 8.04LTS.
1) IBM Thinkpad R40e - Pentium 4 2.4GHz 2) Elderly Viglen desktop - Pentium III 450MHz using the alternate install CD in both cases. The upgrades went fine, but on both machines neither keyboard nor mouse worked at the login screen. After ctrl-alt-F1 the keyboard worked fine and xorg.conf seemed perfectly straightforward with standard keyboard input. In both cases a full install of 8.04 solved the problem. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- 6.06 to 8.04 upgrade: no keyboard or mouse https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/225114 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
