I'll give a dapper a go, I did briefly try it on my Wife's desktop but I had some bizare problem with it not finding a repository for the rio500 - I suspect this might be something to do with the way it was upgraded from breezy to dapper.
I'll try and do a fresh install of dapper and try that, it may take me a week or so but I'll come back with a proper report.
