Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: seahorse

I am using Ubuntu Hardy Heron (8.04) and I have seahorse
2.22.1-0ubuntu2.

I can properly sign files via the right click menu.

Double clicking a signature does not automatically verify it with
seahorse-tool so I manually made it open .sig files with seahorse
--verify

At first it worked OK for many days. Suddenly I cannot verify any
signature.

Here is the console output:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ seahorse-tool -v
'/media/TRITONIO/INSHAME/TriSim/TriSim.zip.sig'

** (seahorse-tool:18647): CRITICAL **: seahorse_notify_signatures: assertion
`keys != NULL' failed
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$

Every time I run this command the number inside the brackets increases.

I tried deleting the /home/tritonio/.gnupg folder which contained the
keyrings. (of course I reimported my private keys which I have backed up
individually) The folder was automatically recreated but I still
encounter the very same problem.

I also tried reinstalling, completely removing and installing seahorse
again but it didn't help.

** Affects: seahorse (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
