** Description changed: I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop with a Microsoft MN-720 PCMCIA wireless adapter (which uses one of the Broadcom chipsets). Everything worked great under Gutsy Gibbon (I had loaded the wireless driver using the Restricted Driver manager), but when I upgraded to Hardy Heron the wireless card stopped working, and I switched over to a wired connection. The wired connection works just fine until I eject the PCMCIA wireless network adapter, after which point the network connection drops and the exclamation point appears over the applet icon. + I can't connect to any network resources after that happens. Rebooting + is the only way to fix it. + + dmesg doesn't reveal anything helpful. It just shows the card's + disconnect event. I'm sorry that I haven't included much information here. I will post - back with more details shortly. + back with more info on my hardware shortly.
