On my machine despite updating kde 4.0.3 to kde 4.0.4 and qt 4.3 to
qt4.4 nothing seems broken, however any application I start says it is
using kde 4.0.3 instead of kde 4.0.4. The update manager claims kde
4.0.4 is installed.
