As i already said, "For master drive i have choosen no action and no
mount point", "Rest of options default (also grub)." So, there was no
resizing and i have no idea what grub instalation options were.

I guess, that i should add this, because it may not be clear:
Before Kubuntu instalation
hd0,0 - ntfs with Vista, all space
hd1,0 - ntfs emtpy, old xp instalation (propably bootable, but not working 
because of hardware changes), all space
After
hd0,0 - ntfs with Vista, all space
hd1,0 - ext3, with Kubuntu, 39 GB
hd1,1 - swap, 1 GB

I agree that, grub shouldn't touch anything but mbr. I just don't see any other 
explanation.
I don't know Vista to good, so I'm also not sure if c:\boot isn't somehow 
virtual directory (not on HD). Maybe Vista had used hd1 during instalation and 
placed data there ? That would be really wierd, but it's not impossible.
