*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 223014 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/223014
Here is an update to my first posting of the problem:
I have not reinstalled 7.10. I have not attempted to reinstall 8.04.
Sometimes 8.04 will start up properly and other times, I get the
incessant "ata2.00: exception Emask 0x0" messages endlessly repeating.
Have not been able to determine why the os will *sometimes* start up
normally and other times NOT!
Does anyone have any further knowledge about the cause of this error
message?
Would there be a way to set up 7.10 and 8.04 as a dual boot system so I
could still access my data when 8.04 won't start?? Weird solution,
perhaps...
Since #223446 seems like a duplicate, is there a way to consolidate
these all into one bug report?
Has anyone with the similar problem solved it yet?
