The problem is still there on hardy and not only with ark: if i get a file from a FAT32 device like USB key, then the accents disapear! and if i launch kword to open my files using the open dialog of kword (koffice 2), same accent problem, unable to open the file.
So i have to open it with kde3 applications (and also to copy them).
