i'm also having the same problem as user above & my network controller for my laptop Compaq Presario V3658TU is Broadcom Corporation BCM94311MCG wlan mini-PCI (rev 02).Sometime i can't connect with my WPA connection with the static ip and then i have to configure it manually.It seems like WPA system not getting doing well with my WiFi connection even it can scanning the available network.
