Ok I will launch the printdebuginfo script tomorrow. In the meanwhile, you can take a look at Bug #66280, which is a duplicate of this bug I made, but contains more information, since it was created by using the bugreport tool. About the configuration, I tried many combinations of:
- Drivers. The printer is recognized as DeskJet 5100, but is actually a 5150. No ppd file is available for the 5100, so I tried its 5150 ppd file, and also the 5158 and 5160, but nothing changed; - Programs. Acrobat, Evince, OpenOffice, Gimp. - Ways to add the printer. I tried both with cups on localhost 631 and with the gnome-cups-add tool, who recognizes two DeskJet 5100 printers on the same USB, I don't know why. Both works in the same way. - Color mode (grayscale vs color and normal vs draft). I don't have a systematic report of all the test I did, but in general there were no differences in the way the sample file was printed. In any case, I never managed to print black 100% with any program, whereas black 99% is ok. Till some moths ago, everything was perfect, I don't know if it is possible to understand which packets changed in the period around june/july (or maybe august). I took a look at the code, I think this bug may be related to the KRGB patch.
