>Volume control of the panel keeps using wrong audio device. It uses
integrated audio device instead of external USB speakers. However,
double clicking >the panel volume control opens window with correct
audio device.

This seems not to be an issue anymore with ubuntu hardy.

- Probably the same issue occurs when using physical volume buttons of
the USB-speakers. Volume control box pops to the screen and the volume
bar moves correctly, but the actual volume of the speakers does not
change.

With ubuntu hardy for some reason the volume bar does not move correctly
with a shortcut key.

There seems to be white background noice, when using external USB
speakers (tested with two different machines). The noice is not present
with Windows. Ubuntu 7.04 and earlier did not suffer from this problem
either.
