sirianni: 1) uninstall the driver from the NVIDIA installer (i.e. stop the Xserver and sh name_of_the_installer --uninstall) 2) remove nvidia-glx-new 3) enable hardy-updates, universe and multiverse repositories, refresh the list of packages and type: sudo apt-get install envyng-gtk 4) finally launch EnvyNG from Applications/System tools EnvyNG and install the NVIDIA driver from there.
