Same thing here. I have installed Ubuntu 8.04 only one week ago. Note
that this 'Quit freeze' issue did arise a couple of days after the
install. In the beginning, all was fine. It started after I edited the
menu, I'm not sure if that is related... I find this a serious bug, and
hope it will be fixed soon. I'll try the debugging procedures to get
more details.
