Hi Saïvann,

I beleive you mean CTRL + ALT + F1 to get to the Virtual Terminal.

I followed your instructions. When I issue the following command in VT1,

sudo usplash -c -v >/tmp/usplash.log 2>&1

I get a black screen. I tried to let it finish, but nothing happens, I
only get a black screen. I tried doing CTRL + ALT +F1-to-F7, nothing, I
tried to cancel out of it by doing CTRL + C, but that does nothing
either. Nothing puts the machine back to a working state besides a hard
reboot. After the reboot the file in /tmp is gone. I have tried pumping
the output to another directory but all I got was an empty file.
